Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Albumly (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a photography studio management platform operated by Layered Groups. Our website is www.getalbumly.com. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at hello@getalbumly.com.

2. What data we collect

We collect the following information when you use Albumly:

  • Account information — your name, email address, and business name when you sign up.
  • Photos and project data — images you upload, project names, client names, and shoot dates.
  • Usage data — pages visited, features used, and browser/device information collected automatically.
  • Payment data — processed securely by Stripe. We do not store card details.
  • Communications — emails you send or receive through the platform (e.g. gallery share emails).

3. How we use your data

  • To provide and improve the Albumly service.
  • To send transactional emails (gallery links, album notifications, account verification).
  • To process payments via Stripe.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Photo privacy

Photos you upload are stored in a private, access-controlled bucket. They are never publicly accessible via a direct URL — all access requires a cryptographically signed URL or a valid gallery password. Only you and clients you explicitly share with can view your photos.

5. Third-party services

We use trusted third-party providers for infrastructure, payments, and email delivery. These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and are only given access to the data necessary to perform their services. We do not sell your data to any third party.

6. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Orphaned files (photos no longer linked to a project) are automatically deleted after 30 days. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing hello@getalbumly.com.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR and applicable data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data.
  • Object to or restrict processing.
  • Data portability.

To exercise any of these rights, contact hello@getalbumly.com.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to maintain your session. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or via a notice in the app. Continued use of Albumly after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
